Kotoko coach David Duncan frustrated by delayed start of Ghana Premier League

Asante Kotoko coach David Duncan is worried about the delay in the commencement of the Ghana Premier League.

The domestic top-flight is yet to begin despite Clubs readiness for the new season who been involved in series of preseason matches.

First Capital plus Bank’s cancellation of the sponsorship deal with the Ghana Football Association coupled with some legal tussles between Clubs have delayed the start of the League.

The situation has left the Clubs with no option than to engage themselves in preseason friendlies in other to keep their players active.

Duncan who embarked on a preseason tour in Libya with his side is disturbed by the delayed start of the League.

“I think is worrying. Is the case when you think you are preparing for the League yet the League will not start,” he said on the teams arrival from Libya.

“We have prepared for some time now but what is next? There is nothing to show for.

“Is very worrying to us, we have even gotten the opportunity to get ourselves in some international Club friendlies

Duncan will be hoping to guide the Porcupine Warriors to secure the League title next season having failed to clinch the trophy last season after finishing second behind eventual winners Ashanti Gold.
