Ministerial Reshuffle...Fifi Kwetey Replaces Ativor; Bani Makes Comeback

President John Dramani Mahama has appointed the former Chief of Staff, Prosper Douglas Bani as Minister Designate for Interior in his first reshuffle for 2016.

Mr Bani takes over from the Member of Parliament (MP) for Navrongo Central, Mark Woyongo, who has been reassigned to the Flagstaff House. 

A statement signed by the Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah also indicated that Fiifi Kwetey, Minister of Agriculture has been appointed as the Minister Designate for Transport to replace Madam Dzifa Ativor who resigned from her position following the controversial GHc3.6 million bus re-branding saga.

The Northern Regional Minister, Alhaji Mohammed Muniru Limuna will take over from Fifi Kwetey as the new Minister for Food & Agriculture.

President John Dramani Mahama has also appointed Mr. Kenneth Wujangi, a Management and Integrated Rural Development Specialist as a Deputy Chief of Staff (Operations) at the Flagstaff House.

The following has also been nominated as Ministers of State:

1. Edwin Nii Lante Vanderpuye (MP)- Minister Designate for Youth & Sports

2. John Alexander Ackon- Minister Designate for the Ashanti Region

3. Kweku Ricketts Hagan (MP)- Minister Designate for the Central Region

4. Mavis Ama Frimpong- Minister Designate for the Eastern Region

5. Abdallah Abubakari- Minister Designate for the Northern Region

6. Albert Abongo (MP)- Minister Designate for the Upper East Region

The following have also been nominated as Deputy Ministers of State:

1. Andy Appiah Kubi- Deputy Minister Designate for the Ashanti Region

2. Robert Baba Kuganab-Lem- Deputy Minister Designate for the Upper East Region

Meanwhile, another reshuffle list is expected because according to Mr. Debrah, the changes are still ongoing and there will be further announcements in the course of time.
