Nii Lante Vanderpuije replaces Mustapha Ahmed as Sports Minister
Deputy Local Government Minister, Nii Lante Vanderpuije has been appointed as the new Sports Minister.
The Member of Parliament of the Odododiodoo constituency has been appointed by President John Dramani Mahama to replace Dr. Mustapha Ahmed who took over as the Sports Minister after Ghana’s participation in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea.
Lante Vanderpuije who was once a GBC Sports Commentator becomes the 14th Member of Parliament to be appointed as the Sports Minister in the last 15 years.
Outgoing Dr. Mustapha Ahmed is however expected to head another Ministerial position.
