NDC Boycotts Kasapreko FM

The ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) has boycotted all activities in relation to Kasapreko FM, a local radio network at Wassa Akropong in the Wassa Amenfi East Constituency.

Ayensu Patrick, a member of the ruling party’s communication team, who broke the news, said their decision follows an unfortunate incident that ensued at the radio station, where one of the party’s communicators, who appeared a programme, was stopped from trumpeting the good works of President John Mahama.

"[Upon] our careful examination of the said incident, we decided unanimously to boycott all political programmes on Kasapreko FM".

They expressed their displeasure regarding an ongoing discrimination against the party by some of the presenters on the radio network, adding that "we are particularly appalled by the action of the Morning Show host, Mr Kwaku Anane, a.k.a. Filla Man".

The party further explained that they are unable to recount the number of times they have had to fight for fairness and equal opportunities on programmes, and urged the management of the radio station to ensure all panellists are given equal attention.
