Ghana�s U-20 Women�s team, the Black Princesses will face their counterparts from Congo in the qualifying rounds for next year�s FIFA U-20 Women�s World Cup. The Princesses, one of 11 teams to have drawn a bye at the preliminary stages will begin their campaign at the first round. The rest of the countries are Botswana, Congo, Egypt, Namibia, Nigeria, DR Congo, South Africa, Tunisia, Zambia and Zimbabwe. Information gathered by GNA Sports from the draw conducted at the headquarters of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) in Cairo, Egypt last Friday indicates that the first leg will take place on the weekend of December 4 to December 6, 2009 in Brazzaville. The Princesses will host the second leg between December 18 and December 20, 2009. The winners will then advance to the second round, with the eventual winners progressing to the third round. The Black Princesses will likely face either Egypt or Tunisia at the second round should they scale the Congo hurdle. Africa has two places at the biennial tourney to be staged in Germany from July 13 to August 1, 2010. The Princesses lost out to their Nigerian counterparts, the Falconets at the ultimate stage of the qualifiers for the Chile 2008 edition. The Ghanaians have yet to reach the finals of the biennial championships since its inception in 2002.
