I Commend Organized Labour For Putting Ghana First - Sam George

Sam George, Parliamentary candidate for Ningo Prampram, has commended Organized Labour for exhibiting high level of patience and cooperation with the government.

According to Sam George, Organized Labour has showed a remarkable selfless interest in the progress of the nation.

Despite the nationwide demonstration held by Organized Labour to register their displeasure with the high increments in utility tariffs and fuel prices, the NDC Parliamentary candidate believes the demonstrators are not calling for a complete removal of the price adjustments but rather requesting a reduction.

This, he noted, is a good habit initiated by the Organized Labour force in the country.

“I commend Organized Labour. They have put the interest of this country first ahead of their individual comfort. Because they realize that this is the only country we have. We all need to contribute our quota to ensure national progress.”

He however urged them to adhere to the strict instructions by the energy providers in the country to pay up their debt.

Sam George indicated that the energy providers - VRA, GRIDCO and ECG - have a legacy debt to the tune of 1.2 billion which need to be defrayed and so, admonished the workers to pay their tariffs to help resolve the energy crises in the country.

If the consumers fail to pay the tariffs, “we will bring VRA and GRIDCO and ECG to their knees. And the dumsor will also be worse,” he stated.
