Sekyere Afram Plains Benefit From $89,395 Japanese Grant

To help residents of Hamidu in the Sekyere Afram Plains access quality Health Care delivery,the Japanese government has granted a sum of 89,395 USD for the construction of a Health Care Center at Hamidu in the Sekyere Afram Plains district.

The Grant which is under the Japan's Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects Scheme (GGHSP) seeks to provide quality health care delivery for residents in less endowed and deprived communities in the country .

Yuki Takanashi first secretary at the Embassy of Japan in Ghana in an interview with Peacefmonline reporter Issac Kwame Owusu explained that the grant will be utilized appropriately to help in achieving the intended objectives and to enhance the Ghana -Japan relationship.

We also see it as our core and primary responsibility to assist people in deprived and deplorable communities with basic amenities which will make life comfortable and the world a better place for them, he noted.

He added that they will continue to assist a lot more deprived communities in the country.

District Chief Executive for the area Hon. Fuseini Donkor in an interview explained that out of 100 applications he is elated that his district was picked for the project.

He appealed to the embassy to also assist them in an area of development which is education. With eleven Junior High School yet (under construction) this district has the least developed educational infrastructure in the region.

The assembly sincerely appreciates the symbolic gesture and hopes that it mark the beginning of greater things to come.
