Fire has gutted the National Headquarters of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP) Friday evening.
All items at the party headquarters were destroyed by the fire outbreak.
Speaking in an interview with the Founder and Leader of GFP, Akua Donkor she explained the cause of the fire outbreak on Peace News at 6 pm as suspected arson.
According to her, some unknown arsonists poured petrol on the office at the blind spot of her party officials, setting the headquarters ablaze.
She also suspected some political opposition hands in the cause of the fire, stressing that her detractors may have destroyed the office to get back at her over her persistent support for President John Mahama and his government.
The worth of items destroyed by the fire is yet to be known but to Akua Donkor, her party documents, computers, furniture and her African cloths she imported from the United States were completely burned.
