Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMCEs) nationwide, pursuing various academic and short courses has been ordered to defer their programmes with immediate effect.

This order was given by President John Mahama through the Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Alhaji Collins Dauda in a statement.

The statement further asked Regional Ministers to inform all MMDCES in their regions to strictly comply with the directive.

MMDCEs who refuse to go by this directive would “have themselves to blame” according to the statement.
