Boakye-Yiadom joins Italian Serie B side Latina

The Italian second tier side have secured the services of the centre-forward for the second half of the 2015-16 season.

Ghana striker Richmond Boakye-Yiadom has completed a half-season loan move to Italian Serie B side Latina.

Owned by Serie A outfit Atalanta, the front man had a successful medical on Wednesday to now settle at the Stadio Domenico Francioni.

Boakye moved to Dutch side Roda JC on an expected season-long loan last summer but terminated his contract with the Eredivisie outfit early this month, prematurely leaving the club with nine league matches involving seven starts without a goal.

Ahead of his Dutch adventure, Boakye made 19 appearances for Atalanta in the 2014-15 season, scoring three times as the side finished a disappointing 17 th on the standings.

Earlier, he had spent two seasons on loan at Sassuolo, involving an unsuccessful promotion attempt in 2012 during which he scored 10 goals in 34 Serie B appearances in his first season.

He then spent season 2013-14 on loan at Spanish club Elche where he scored six times in 31 appearances.

With 10 Black Stars appearances to his name, Boakye boast of three goals.
