Ghana transfer window spending: Kotoko tops with GHc850,000

Asante Kotoko were the biggest spenders in the just ended transfer window in Ghana.

The Porcupine Warriors splashed a whopping sum of GHC 850,000 to sign eleven new players.

The Ghanaian powerhouse were able to recruit the likes of Bennet Ofori and Richard Osei Agyemang from Berekum Chelsea, Medeama SC defender Evans Quao, Theophilous Nyame from Sekondi Hasaacas as wells as Kwame Boateng from Great Olympics.

Other signings made by the Club includes Samuel Kyere, Hilipha Sedogo, Evans Nyarko and goalkeeper Ernest Sowah.

League Champions Ashanti Gold in their quest to excel in Africa spent big in the transfer market by releasing GHC 700,000 to bring in new players.

Aduana Stars followed with GHC 600,000 with Hearts of Oak forking out GHC 450,000 to sign nine new players.

Medeama SC completes the top five spenders in the transfer market as they splashed GHC 400,000 on their new signings.
