NPP Congratulates Greenstreet

The New Patriotic Party has congratulated the newly elected flagbearer of the Convention People’s Party (CPP) Ivor Greenstreet.

In a statement signed by its Acting General Secretary John Boadu, the NPP said “we are hopeful that his election will continue to enrich Ghana's politics with ideas and values that will improve the fortunes of the average Ghanaian".

Ivor Greenstreet in an election held at the International Trade Fair Centre, obtained a massive 1,288 votes out of the 1,992 valid votes to beat daughter of Ghana's first President Dr Kwame Nkrumah, Samia Nkrumah who came a distant second with 579 votes.

The others Joseph Agyapong and Bright Akwetey recorded 83 and 42 votes respectively.

NPP CONGRATULATES IVOR GREENSTREET

 The New Patriotic Party extends its congratulations to Mr Ivor Kobina Greenstreet, the newly elected Presidential Candidate of the Convention People's Party (CPP).

Mr Greenstreet has over the years contributed at various levels to the cause of promoting multi-party democracy in Ghana.

We are hopeful that his election will continue to enrich Ghana's politics with ideas and values that will improve the fortunes of the average Ghanaian.

We also congratulate the CPP on a successful Congress in Accra yesterday.
