NPP Member of Parliament for Fanteakwa South in the Eastern Region, Hon. Kofi Okyere Agyekum has warned the Fulani herdsmen who have already settled in his constituency to be very careful and not lay hands on any of his constituents.

According to him he would retaliate should they mistakenly kill one person in the constituency.

He asserted that they have already destroyed farms cocoa farmers have been working on for the past 10 years and over, polluted water and made individuals uncomfortable to move about in an area belonging to them.

“It has been over 10 years now that the Agogo township suffered from this Fulani herdsmen, but authorities who can let them put a stop to all these riots have never made any effort,” he noted.

He stated that “we have seen that authorities who are supposed to protect us cannot do their jobs, so we will protect ourselves.”

“National Security are being paid to protect Ghanaians but they are not doing that.”
