My Attacker Is Not 'Mad' - NPP Cape Coast North Candidate Insists

NPP’s Asher Ayisi who was attacked over the weekend has maintained that her attacker was sent to kill her.

The Parliamentary Candidate for the Cape Coast North Constituency in the Central Region in an interview with Kasapa FM noted that, the assailant is not ‘mad’ as purported in the media.

“The young man cannot be said to be mad, when he entered the house there were three cars parked in the yard, he vandalized only the one branded with my campaign posters and was shouting he wants to kill me, such a person knows clearly what he was doing,” she said.

Reports says Bismark Yao who scaled the wall of the residence of the aspiring MP at about 9am Saturday, screaming at the top of his voice for the aspirant to come out and be killed is mad – he has since been hospitalized.

But Mrs Barbara Asher Ayisi has expressed surprise as to why the police sent the attacker to the Psychiatric hospital.

“I just don’t understand why the police did that. I think there is a mistake somewhere; I hear they claim he is mad. This is the way we wrongly conclude that people are mad and they end up killing others.

"I’ve learnt psychology and the young man’s behavior does not point to mental instability. All he was saying was I will kill the NPP MP, how was he able to locate my house?” She quizzed.

Adding that - “Don’t let us take such things for granted. We can’t afford to lose innocent people by looking on for such seemingly mad persons to parade freely.”
