Nkoranza North District to complete all old projects

Mr. Kwadwo Adjei-Dwomoh, Nkoranza North District Chief Executive (DCE) has given the assurance that the assembly would complete all development projects initiated by the previous government before undertaking new ones. He told the Ghana News Agency at Busunya that the move would ensure the prudent management of the assemblys resources. Mr. Adjei-Dwomoh said the assembly intended to renovate existing school blocks that were in deplorable conditions and called on the youth to offer communal labour to complement the assemblys efforts. He said the assembly would upgrade the Busunya Senior High School into a boarding facility and adopt Yefriman Senior High School into the public school system. The District Assembly intended to engage 80 teaching assistants under the National Youth Employment Programme to augment the teaching staff in deprived communities. Mr. Adjei-Dwomoh expressed concern about the lack of a hospital in the district and said the assembly was liaising with the Ministry of Health to upgrade the Busunya Health Centre into one. St. Theresas Hospital at Nkoranza is the only hospital that deals with referral cases from the 13 health centres at Nkoranza North and Nkoranza South districts. The DCE announced that the assembly had purchased a grader to re-gravel feeder roads in the district to facilitate the movement of the people and economic activities.
