It was the season of love and last Saturday, February 13, inmates of the Nsawam prison experienced another kind of love when hiplife artiste, Kwaw Kese, donated assorted items to the facility. The items which included soft drinks and toiletries, according to the �Abodam� man, was to prevent the inmates from feeling left out as people around the world expressed love to one another. In addition to the presents, the Yakubu artiste threw a pre-Valentine day party dubbed Feast With Kwaw Kese for the 4,000 inmates when he treated them to packed-lunch . And since it was a party, he gave them some music too. With support from some of his colleagues in the industry such as Pope Skinny and Efya, they took turns to thrill the audience to some of their popular songs. As if that wasn�t enough, the inmates also had the chance to participate and watch an exciting football match between Kwaw Kese 11 and the Nsawam 11 where the latter were beaten to a 2-1 score. Speaking with Showbiz on Tuesday, Kwaw Kese, who had his fair share of prison life in 2014 after he was arrested for publicly smoking marijuana, narrated how the ordeal changed his perspective on life. According to him, the bad experiences of his short stint in prison was not just an eye opener but served as an inspiration to him to reach out to the masses who are mostly ignored and shunned by society. �Spending time with the inmates last Saturday was my little token of love to these people who feel rejected by society. I just wanted to assure them I�m on a mission to better their living conditions in jail,� he stated. Kwaw Kese also expressed his appreciation to some organisations and individuals who helped him support the worthy cause. They include Obokom Atta IX, Sandra Ankobia, Man Capital, Franko Phones, Fancopat and Special Ice. The rests are Kenpong, F,C, Escort Security, Mama Vits Noodles, Kingpin Drinks and MTECH. Last year, Kwaw Kese, real name, Emmanuel Botchway launched a foundation aimed at administering a 20 year Development Project for Ghana�s prsions and to educate the public on the dangers of substance abuse.
