The Ghana Football Association has commenced investigations into allegations of bribery leveled against male Under-20 team coach, Sellas Tetteh by player, Ishmael Yartey. President of the FA, Kwesi Nyantakyi has ruled out a court action but confirmed the sport bodys decision to use its internal dispute resolution mechanism to determine the matter thereby referring the matter to the Disciplinary Committee. Ishmael Yartey, who failed to make it into national side ahead of the Under-20 World Cup finals has claimed that the Black Satellites coach, Sellas Tetteh was induced into selecting his final squad for the tournament. Anything that borders on corruption is a serious offence. We (FA) are very much aware of the implications of the allegations. The matter has been referred to the Disciplinary Committee and they are mandated to investigate and take action. We are taking it seriously and would have to await the outcome of the investigations, Nyantakyi said. Its important for all to co-operate as the credibility of the persons mentioned and the game hinges on the outcome of the Disciplinary Committee.
