The Blues defender wants to play more games and hopefully win the Champions League with his English side.
Chelsea left-back Baba Rahman has set his sights on joining the illustrious list of Ghanaians to have won the Uefa Champions League.
The 21-year-old was in action as the Blues narrowly fell 2-1 to Paris Saint-Germain in the round of 16 first leg clash of the competition last Tuesday.
And having been hailed for his good showing in the game at Parc des Princes, the ex-Asante Kotoko full-back is looking to leave a bigger impression.
“It’s a big moment and it’s a dream come true for me because I was always hoping and praying to get myself here, to playing a Champions League game and it will be brilliant to win it,” Baba told his club’s official website.
“For me, it’s a big bonus and I’m really looking forward to playing more games and trying to win the Champions League trophy.
“When I was young, I used to watch it a lot, and when the Champions League comes and it’s on TV, everybody in Africa, and especially Ghana just runs to all the TVs to watch the games. Lots of people gather together.”
Baba joined the 2012 European champions from German side Augsburg last summer and has put up four appearances for the Blues in the competition, having also featured in five Premier League games.
“Lots of people watch the games from England, and I can say it’s the English Premier League that is the most dominant,” Baba continued.
“The satellite we had showed mostly the Premier League, and I can say as well that many Ghanaians are supporting Chelsea, especially because of Michael Essien.”
Abedi Ayew, Samuel Osei Kuffour, Ibrahim Tanko, Michael Essien and Sulley Muntari are the five Ghanaians to have lifted the Uefa Champions League trophy.
