Juventus, Inter Milan eying Frank Acheampong swoop

The Ghana international is a transfer target for some top Serie A sides, he representative has revealed.

Ghana winger Frank Acheampong is on the radar of Italian giants Juventus and Inter Milan, according to his agent Oliver Konig.

With 17 league appearances for Belgian side Anderlecht this season, the 22-year-old has been in top form, scoring three times in his last three league games.

He scored twice in a 2-2 stalemate with KV Mechelen on February 5, before opening the scoring in a 3-0 thrashing of Zulte-Waregen a week later.

“I can confirm some Italian teams are looking at Acheampong,” Konig was quoted as saying by Italian news outfit Calciomercato.

“Inter Milan and Juventus are among them.

“Anderlecht’s strategy is to transfer young talents to top teams.

“The Italian league is very attractive but Frank also feels great with Anderlecht and respects his contract [with the club].”

Acheampong has eight national appearances for Ghana, and was a member of the squad that finished as runners-up at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea.

He also represented Ghana at the 2013 Fifa Under-20 World Cup in Turkey.
