You made him miss school at least from Wednesday to Friday. You make him travel over 800 kilometres from his village in the Upper East Region to Accra. You show him to national and international media, Ghanaians and foreigners. What do you say about him?

"See, the parents of this boy you are seeing are so poor that they cannot buy him school sandals. I bought him one pair of sandals, not with my own money though . This shows I am a great achiever. I deserve applause. And your votes."

What have you done about getting his parents jobs? When the poor boy's wear out by the end of the term, and you are cruising in your kilometre-long convoy of V8s canvassing for votes, how is he going to replace them?
