Ahead of the November 7, general elections – the electorates have been asked by the National Organiser of the ruling National Democratic Congress Kofi Adams to maintain President John Dramani Mahama.

He explained that – the NPP’s Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo who he described as a “dead okro” cannot be trusted with the destiny of the country.

Kofi Adams said this whiles addressing supporters of the NDC in Tamale in the Northern region – according to him, the Mahama-led administration has more to offer so therefore Ghanaians must maintain them.

"When I say President Mahama is a fresh okro and Akufo-Addo is a failed dead okro, I will tell you why; even President Kufour himself who knew the people he was working with never supported Akufo-Addo in 2007, he never did...It will be a monumental mistake to entrust the destiny of this country into Akufo-Addo’s hands,” he said.
