ISD Boss Must Resign...His Assistant Should Be Redeployed! - Kweku Baako

Editor-in-Chief of the New Crusading Guide Newspaper, Kweku Baako Jnr. says President John Dramani Mahama should issue sanctions to those who assented to the brochure gaffe that characterized the 59th Independence anniversary.

He stated that the Acting Director of the Information Services Department (ISD) must resign over the error-ridden brochure.

Speaking on Peace FM's morning show 'Kokrokoo', Kweku Baako bemoaned the laxity that is being exhibited by the Presidency in handling the issue.

He does not understand why the Acting Director and his Deputy are still at post following the incident that occurred during the Independence Day celebration.

In addressing the issue, Kweku Baako noted that his investigations prove that the content and the brochure itself was approved by the Acting Director of the ISD, Francis Kwarteng Arthur and his Deputy and further transferred to the Flagstaff House Communication bureau before it was used for the function.

He further disclosed that the brochure was done at the blind side of the workers of the ISD and so stressed that he understands the agitation by the workers who are calling for the real faces behind the error-rife brochure to be unveiled.

The workers have also called on their Acting Director to issue a disclaimer to the public about the involvement of the ISD in the brouhaha.

Mr. Baako was of the view that the mistakes in the brochure dragged Ghana in utter disgrace and believed some punitive measures will be in the right order.

"Somebody is lucky I'm not an advisor to the President. That guy should resign or he should be pushed out of the window. His deputy should be redeployed. Then they should come to the Flagstaff House Communication Bureau," he stated.
