Nduom Endorses Eva Lokko For Klottey Korle Seat

The 2012 flag bearer of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP), Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom, has endorsed moves by Madam Eva Lokko to contest the parliamentary seat in the Klottey Korle Constituency on the ticket of the PPP.

Dr Nduom said Madam Lokko was better placed to represent the people of Klottey Korle in Parliament.

With members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) bogged down by internal strife, constituents of  Korle Klottey in the Greater Accra Region were turning elsewhere for hope as the November 7 polls drew closer, he said.

In a statement, Dr Nduom said, “We need some of our best people in parliament and Eva Lokko is one of the best that we have in this country, as a professional, who has worked with an international organisation, as someone who rose to become Director General of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC), and as someone who is working to employ and help the youth to develop.”

According to Dr Nduom, some persons without any experience have risen to become leaders in the country, a situation that is affecting the country.

“In Ghana, anybody can get up and say they want to be President; we don’t know where they come from. It has hurt this country. We have asked the people in PPP to stay on the ground and be grounded,” he said.

Madam Lokko was Dr Nduom’s running mate in the 2012 general election and will contest in the parliamentary elections on November 7 on the ticket of the PPP.

According to the PPP, they are ready to offer the people a better leadership as economic hardships take a toll on their lives while the NDC and the NPP remaine indifferent to their plight
