Woyome Saga: Kweku Baako Questions High Court, Court Of Appeal Ruling

Editor-In-Chief of the New Crusading Guide newspaper has punched holes in the ruling of the Accra High Court and the Court of Appeal on businessman Alfred Agbesi Woyome’s issue.

The Court of Appeal upheld‎ the decision by the High Court to exonerate businessman Alfred Agbesi Woyome of any criminality in the award of the ₵51.2 million judgment debt. ‎

The Court‎ presided over by Justice Victor Ofoe accepted the defense of Woyome saying the Attorney-General failed to prove his guilt beyond reasonable doubt.‎

However, speaking to the issue on Wednesday’s edition of PeaceFM's ‘Kokrokoo’, Kweku Baako said “there was sufficient evidence before the two courts to have gone in a different direction…

"I feel there is something basically wrong with Woyome issue…I have read the ruling of the Court of Appeal, High Court and that of the Supreme Court, but when you look through the Court of Appeal and the High Court ruling, they raised some issues which do not sound right".
