Vibrant Minister of Youth and Sports Hon. Nii Lante Vanderpuye has disclosed that theYouth and Sports Ministry is one of the most challenging Ministries in the country.
Confessing his two-week old stay at the Sports Ministry to the members of the Sports Writers Association of Ghana [SWAG], Hon Nii Lante admitted that he is in a ‘hot’ Ministry.
“With only two weeks spent at the Ministry, if I should open up the ministry to you, some will run away,” he said.
“I must say that it is a very difficult ministry taken into consideration the number of ministers who have handled the office since 2000.”
Hon. Nii Lante however said that he took the responsibility because regardless of the challenges at the Ministry, there must be someone who would take it up.
“As a player, I always want to tackle the best player. When people think it is almost impossible, that is when I do my best. I love challenges and I am hopeful of succeeding,” he added.
The Minister’s confession has affirmed the claims by many that the Sports Ministry a ‘trouble zone’ that has spelt the downfall on many who had demonstrated eagerness and readiness to succeed at the Ministry.
