Apostle Kadmil Agbalenyoh, missionary-in-charge of Seventh Day Church of Theocracy at Homedakrom near Nsawam in the Akuapem South Municipality has called on the government to assist private schools in the rehabilitation of their infrastructure. He said this would greatly help the private institutions supplement government�s efforts at providing education to school going children in the rural areas who are equally talented like those in the urban centres. Apostle Agbalenyoh, who made the call when delivering a sermon to mark this year�s Pentecostal Day at Homedakrom, said smoking and alcoholism were on the increase among the youth in the country and called for measures that would curb the habits. He therefore asked school children to desist from such acts which would jeopardize their future. Apostle Agbalenyoh urged the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to not to politice every issue but rather view the development of the country as paramont. Professor Frimpong Boateng, former Chief Executive of Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, who chaired the ceremony, said the country belonged to the children and unborn generation and therefore it behoved on the present leaders create the appropriate environments for the present and future development. He said it was about time Ghanaians gave God fearing personalities the chance to lead the country so that good ideas emanating from selflessness would manifest in the better development of the people.
