NPP Will Restore Students Allowance MP

The Deputy Ranking Member on Health and Member of Parliament (MP) for Offinso North, Collins Ntim, has entreated the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government to have compassion on Ghanaians, by restoring the scrapped students’ allowances.

The MP made the call at the 50th Anniversary celebration of the St. Patrick Nursing and Midwifery Training College at offinso in the Ashanti Region, amid deafening response and cheers from the students.

Mr. Ntim said himself and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) regret the position of the government on the subject, and indicated that the only way to reverse the decision is for the NPP to come to power. Mr. Ntim assured the students of his commitment, and that of the NPP, in bringing back the scapped allowances.

He argued that there is enough evidence that the NPP, under the leadership of Nana Akufo-Addo, will be given the mandate to manage Ghana, come November 7, 2016.

He cited the current economic mismanagement and its related hardship on the ordinary Ghanaian, high rate of unemployment, corruption among government appointees and officials, and gross incompetence on the part of the NDC administration, are ample road maps to electoral defeat.
