Lawyers Warn FKA Over Sale Of Danchira Lands

The general public has been cautioned against purchasing parcels of land in Danchira, a suburb of Accra from FKA Co. Ltd, a real Estate company which is purporting to be Lessees of the said lands.

Anyone who acquires land in Danchira from FKA does so at his or her own risk, according to Nii Akwei Bruce-Thompson, Solicitor for the four composite families of Danchira which are Sawerpramano, Amanfo, Juaben and Kubeshishi.

According to the family, FKA Co through an advert claimed that it had been by the Supreme Court as Lessees of Danchira lands and so they were offering plots for sale. However, according to the family, “the said adverts failed to inform the general public about a matter pending at the Supreme Court between the 4families and FKA Co. Ltd and its grantor, the Dzan-bi Amoo family of Otublohum, over ownership of Danchira lands”.

“The general public is being advised to ignore the said adverts since anyone who purchases land from FKA Co. Ltd does so at his own risk because our clients after emerging victorious in the said case would not countenance the presence on the land of anyone claiming title through FKA Co. Ltd and or the Dzan-bi Amoo family”, the family warned through a public notice.

The matter which is currently pending before the Supreme Court would be determined next April and anyone deemed to be selling the lands in question may be charged for contempt.
