Youth For Afoko Vow To Help Hon. Amankwaah Retain Manhyia North Seat
Youth for Afoko, a pro-NPP group with allegiance to the suspended National Chairman, Mr. Paul Afoko, has thrown its support behind the incumbent Member of Parliament for Manhyia North, Hon. Collins Owusu Amankwaah.
The group says it is ready to join hands with the incumbent MP in order to help him retain the seat ahead of the crucial primary expected to be held in the constituency.
Describing Hon. Collins Owusu Amankwaah as the only hope left for the Afoko faction with several of the MPs loyal to the demoted chairman losing their seats, the group says it has already begun intensive mobilization of fund towards supporting the embattled MP who is facing stiffer opposition from his opponent, Nana Osei Bamfo.
According to the group, they cannot sit down and allow all their members to lose their seats in the region, pointing particularly to the defeat of Hon. Kwadwo Baah Agyemang, who is also said to be loyal to the suspended chairman, Mr. Afoko.
To this end, the group is appealing to all members to rise up to the occasion by embarking on an intensive underground campaign to ward off any competition against the incumbent MP.
