Nana Addo Rather Scored Mahama On Challenges Of Ghana Not Performance - George Lawson

Deputy General Secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), George Lawson says rating of President John Mahama’s performance by the NPP’s Flagbearer, Nana Akufo-Addo is mistaken for already existing challenges in the country before the president took over power.

According to him, the evidence based performance of President Mahama is glaring enough for every Ghanaian to see.

New Patriotic Party (NPP) Flagbearer Nana Akufo-Addo has scored President John Mahama a maximum of three out of 10 in the fight against corruption.

He added that the NDC and President Mahama is working hard in accordance with the power God has given to them as a party and a government; adding that the response of Nana Addo is expected as he could not have scored Mahama 8 over 10.

He again asserted that the NPP and Nana Akufo0-Addo has taken the Afro-barometer survey out of context as some few aspects of the report is used; thus “sometimes, those who conducted the survey are not being candid but the reality is on the ground for all to see.”

He however insisted that Nana Akufo-Addo maybe talking about challenges in the country of which President Mahama has never denied the challenges confronting the country.

“Maybe Nana Akufo-Addo is talking about the challenges in the country but the challenges are everywhere unless they are not on this earth; even on different planets, there are challenges and so we have challenges as well,” he averred.

“President Mahama has never said there are no challenges in the country, but we are making sure we are able to confront those challenges head-on,” he added.
