Nothing Can Stop Akufo-Addo From Becoming President - Karbo

Deputy Communications Director of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Anthony Abaayifa Karbo has described the attempt by the NDC to directly link Nana Akufo-Addo, the NPP’s 2016 Presidential Candidate with the 3 South African ex-cops as primordial blackmail.

According to the NPP Parliamentary candidate for Lawra constituency, Nana Akufo-Addo for the past 20 years in the country has been a subject of great blackmail by his political opponent [NDC] to make him appear as a monster before Ghanaians in order to undermine his presidential ambition.

Speaking on Okay Fm’s 'Ade Akye Abia' Morning Show, Anthony Karbo who is not surprised by the recent character assassination on Akufo-Addo said the happenings in the media to demonise the NPP Flagbearer is part of the primordial blackmail.

He insisted the ploy against Nana Akufo-Addo is not going to stop to the extent that the NDC out of desperation has given out money to their people including some programme hosts of radio stations and newspapers to stop at nothing to continue to malign and destroy as well as disgrace Nana Akufo-Addo.

“This is the plan of the NDC against Nana Akufo-Addo. But we have overcome this blackmail before in 2008 and in 2012 and they have started again in 2016 with this blackmail. They accused Nana Addo of dealing in drugs but till date, they have not been able to find one evidence against this man in 8 years since they have been in power,” he averred.

“They accused him of being war-like, radical and corrupt but they have not been able to nail him on any of the accusations. The man is so clean, strict and principled that, there are people who have made money illegally and benefited from corrupt money and because of that they are scared of a leader who have great courage to say enough is enough to all these things”, he added.

He stressed that “no amount of blackmail can stop Nana Akufo-Addo from becoming President of Ghana. I know taking power is not easy because the NDC will never lay low for us to take power from them easily.”

He however urged Ghanaians who believe in the course of change to rally behind Nana Akufo-Addo and the NPP to deliver; thus the country cannot continue to lose money because of some people’s selfish interest and reckless desire to amass wealth meant for development.
