Another Death Recorded In NPP: Awutu Senya East Constituency Women Organizer Dies On Easter Friday

Another death has been recorded in the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) as 54 year old Linda Afriyie, the Women’s Organizer for Awutu Senya East Constituency (Kasoa) died on Easter Good Friday, March 25, 2016.

Linda Afriyie, until her demise was a trader and a native of Kwahu-Obomeng who held various women’s organisational positions until she was elected as the substantive Women’s Organiser in December, 2013.

Revealing the death news to Peacefmonline.com, Michael Mensah who is the NPP Awutu Senya East Constituency Secretary narrated that the deceased invited him over to her house together with his deputy, Dorcas Anyan for a discussion.

According to him, they found the Women’s Organiser playing Ludo game with some of her neighbours after she has finished eating; thus she even served him a meal while the said meeting was in progress.

“We had lengthy and fruitful discussions on the development of the NPP Women’s wing in Kasoa. I left with the deputy only to be called in an hour’s later that Linda Afriyie had died. She was known to have being living with high blood pressure and asthma”, he narrated.

It seems the year 2016 has not been fair to the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has it has witnessed the death of Member of Parliament for Abuakwa North Constituency, Hon. JB Danquah Adu, former National Chairman, Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey, Tarkwa-Nsuaem Constituency Chairman, Mr. Samuel Osei Boamah and now Mrs. Linda Afriyie, Awutu-Senya East Women’s Organiser and other party executives recorded earlier in this year.

Mrs. Linda Afriyie's remains has since been deposited to Ebenezer funeral parlour at Botiano near Kasoa.
