Give EC The Peace Of Mind To Work Prez Mahama

President John Mahama has appealed to political parties and civil society organizations to give the Electoral Commission the peace of mind to work.

According to him, the incessant demonstrations against the electoral commission will not enhance the electioneering process or inure to the benefit of the country. President Mahama’s call comes after the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) and pressure group like Let My Vote Count Alliance have hinted of massive demonstration against the EC.

The group championing the call for a new voters register has vowed not to stop until the Commission heed to their call.

But President Mahama  at a ceremony to celebrate the birthday of the prophet Mohammed, the founder of Islam at Aboabo, a suburb in the Ashanti regional capital, Kumasi, said demonstrations will not solve the issue.

He urged the opposition political parties to use the Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) to have their concerns addressed.
