Irbad Defends Nanas Statesmanship

Irbad Ibrahim, a security analyst has described Nana Akufo Addo as a statesman whose exemplary show of leadership after the 2012 Supreme Court election petition verdict saved the country from the brink of war.

Speaking to the DAILY GUIDE recently, he pointed out that although he did not agree with the subject of bringing in retired South African cops to train the opposition leader’s security details, it is wrong to tag him as a threat to national security.

“He is a peace-loving statesman who showed exemplary leadership after the 2012 election petition verdict which almost pushed this nation to the brink of war” adding that “it is unfair and politically incorrect to tag Nana Addo as a ‘threat to national security’.

In recent times, the opposition leader’s political adversaries have sought to tag him as a violent person something he has parried with a display of his conduct in the face of the Supreme Court verdict as pointed out by Irbad.

He was quoted recently as telling a gathering that he loves his country so much that he would not want anything that would disturb her peace and stability.
