Duncans coaching career has ended in Ghana Former Kotoko board member

Ex-Kotoko board member Bernard Xiel has emphatically stated that the coaching career of indignant coach of Asante Kotoko David Duncan has come to an end citing his litigant character as the reason.

According to him, no team in Ghana will be willing to hire the services of Duncan since he will eventually end up in a legal tag of war with them.

“Looking at what he is doing right now, I don’t think any team will be interested in hiring his services in this country again,” he told Kessben FM in Kumasi.

“If he could show such disrespect to a club like Kotoko, then which team will be safe under his technical direction? He has automatically put a lock on his coaching career in the country.”

Duncan had a legal wrestling with Accra Hearts of Oak after he was sacked for an alleged bust-up with the Board Chairman of the club, Togbe Afede.

A similar legal tussle was in the icing when Duncan nearly signed for Great Olympics last season before making the switch to Kotoko.

Duncan was asked by the management of the club to step aside from his official duties after their 1-0 defeat to Aduana Stars on Sunday for assistant coach Michael Osei to take over until further notice.

But the indignant coach who claims ‘step aside’ is not captured in his contract insist he will not accept to ‘step aside’ since it will be illegal for him to do.

A historical legal showdown is expected in the coming days as Duncan is set to drag the team to court.
