I Am Still At Post NCCE Director

The brouhaha surrounding the 50 Mahindra vehicles alleged to be owned by the National Commission for Civic Education [NCCE] but branded by the ruling National Democratic Congress [NDC] for their 2016 campaign has taking another twist.

It has been alleged that government has relieved Mr Samuel Akuamoah Boateng, Director in-charge of NCCE programme from his post when issues surrounding their purported cars took over the media with the opposition NPP wading into the saga.

Mr Boateng until recently kept his silence on the issue – this raised concerns that either he has been fired or being directed by government to ‘shut up’ on the issue.

But his outfit yesterday issued a communiqué on the issue – and claimed the “NCCE don’t have any such vehicles they work with.”

Speaking on NEAT FM’s morning show 'Ghana Montie', the NCCE boss however rubbished claims that he has been fired.

“I am still at post. I travelled to do an official assignment. I returned just to hear the story and we are investigating. I am still at post,” he told host Kwesi Aboagye.
