Reject The Path Of Violence And Lawlessness

The Most Reverend Dr. Daniel Yinkah-Sarfo, Primate and Anglican Archbishop of the Central Province of West Africa, has asked the youth to show responsibility and reject the path of violence and lawlessness.

He counseled them not do anything to bring trouble to themselves, especially, “in this election year”.

He was addressing a diocesan youth rally organized by the Kumasi diocese of the church in the gold-mining town of Obuasi.

“The Anglican church in Ghana in the next 10 years; the role of the youth” was theme of the meeting, which brought together more than 4,000 priests and young people.

Archbishop Yinkah-Sarfo told them not to allow themselves to be manipulated by politicians to cause confusion.

“I wish to warn you that this year is a year of elections so none of you should allow yourselves to be exploited or misused by politicians.”

They should channel their abundant energies into productive use – helping “others to come to know the gospel truth”.

He underlined that the church would continue to support and give them the needed leadership training to lead both the church and the nation.

The Most Rev Dr. Yinkah-Sarfo encouraged them take their education seriously and work hard to live their dreams.

He admonished them to be God-fearing and remain prayerful, trusting in God’s enduring mercies
