Probe National Security Adviser Now Baako Tells Mahama

Abdul Malik Kweku Baako wants Alhaji Baba Kamara, the National Security adviser to President John Mahama investigated for his role he played in arresting Dr. Ayo Ano last week.

The Editor-in-Chief of the New Crusading Guide newspaper says his [Baba Kamara] approach was “wrong” and ought to be queried by authorities.

The Managing Director of Marbles and Granites, Dr. Ayo Ani, was last week picked up by the BNI with others under the orders of Alhaji Baba Kamara for allegedly taking photos of over 50 Mahindra vehicles branded in the colours of the NDC for the 2016 campaign.

The vehicles were alleged to belong to the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) but were being re-branded in the colours of the ruling party for their political campaign.

Discussing the issue on Joy FM’s News file Saturday, the veteran journalist said he will agree with the contention on the ownership of the vehicles being put to rest, but issues of the unlawful arrest of the victim should be probed as a way of safeguarding the democratic principles of the nation.

“The NCCE has intervened and they’ve issued a disclaimer; fair deal, unless somebody has any evidence that contradicts what the NCCE is saying, the matter relative to the ownership of the vehicle can be laid to rest.” He said

“But the abuse of office by the National security Adviser is live and ought to be interrogated.”
