Greenstreet Is The Man

With about six months left to round up with campaigns towards the crucial 2016 elections, the CPP flagbearer, Lawyer Ivor Kobina Greenstreet is mounting a spirited campaign to the admiration and acceptance of a large section of the Ghanaian youth. His campaign which has been described by strategists as a ‘humble’ one has been focusing on meeting different sections of society in what they see as focused groups with detail attention.

Insiders in the CPP reveal that it is also aimed at helping build what they call a People’s Interactive Manifesto which would be mainly about presenting to the people of Ghana what they hope and want to see in their lives from the incoming ruling political party come January 7, 2017.

Ivor who is the only two time General Secretary of the CPP who got reelected among the executives who sought re-election at the Party’s 2011 congress at the same Trade Fair site shocked many political watchers and the Ghanaian public when he was chosen convincingly with 64.21% to be the flagbearer. His handlers have maintained it is the result of God inspired hard work and sustained loyalty.

Mr. Ivor Greenstreet is also an author and publicist of the record keeping historical book called “Ghana Register”. He is a sportsman with lovely swimming skills. He is also a marksman who was privileged to be the first Blackman to participate in last year’s shooting competition in Milan, Italy.

Ivor, as he is affectionately called both at home and among his friends has a lovely personality but never hesitates to state the facts as they ought to be said. He is seen among many an electorate as an honest politician who would not deceive them when elected as President.

He displayed this rare quality when he faced the NDC entire party during their 2014 congress in Kumasi to elect their party officers. Before the whole world he dared the NDC to their failed and woeful incompetence to manage Ghana out of difficulty. Even after the abuses from some members of the NDC regarding his disability he forgave one them on national television to the admiration of many.

The CPP flagbearer so far has focused on building cohesion among the rank and file of the Party while attending to various special interest groups who come together to constitute one presidential constituency called Ghana.

The Greenstreet 2016 Campaign has been preaching; the restoration of Hope to the despairing and doubtful Ghana of the NDC and NPP respective regimes over the past 24years; the Oneness and Unity of Ghana as one inseparable people who should live with love, sincerity and responsiveness; giving the Ghanaian control over their economic lives and activity; ensuring that the youth and women take their proper places in the built up of a fair-sharing wealthy Ghana; making land available to all hardworking Ghanaians regardless their status in society.

“Ours is a well measured modest campaign of sincerity and openness with the people of Ghana. We hope to give them a departure from the politics of deception that have characterized mainly the two parties that have had the opportunity to govern Ghana under this Fourth Republic. We hope to offer them some freshness and newness of doing things different, the CPP way.” So says the Greenstreet 2016 Campaign Strategist.

Wherever the Greenstreet 2016 Campaign arrives it is the youth in their numbers who meet them at an interactive level to share their frustrations in the system and call for Hope. Upon such discourse the “Man in the Wheel” then shares his own personal experiences and challenges the youth to rise to the occasion to be counted.

Ivor Greenstreet is often heard telling the youth; “No one would build or change Ghana for you except yourselves. This is our land of birth, this is our heritage bequeathed unto us by the toil and sweat of our forebears. It is our turn, as said by Dr Ephraim Amu, to do our bit; our lives surely, would manifest whether we want change or to remain in the status quo.”

As a lot more young new faces are joining the campaign it is expected that the CPP would be the Party to watch with their flagbearer whose eyes are always focused on the ball. Many university lecturers, working people, peasants, students, religious leaders are joining the train to offer Ghanaians the most needed hope for all – GREENSTREET AS PRESIDENT in 2017 come January 7.
