Kotoko Fans To Stage Demo Against Board

Kumasi Asante Kotoko s u p p o r t e r s g r o u p K ‘Circles’ are to embark on a demonstration against the Management Board of the club over the bad state of the club, this season.

The main support base of the Reds have decided to demonstrate against the Board on Friday
for gradually sinking the club since they took over the reins a couple of years ago.

Fans of the Porcupine Warriors find the results of the club in the ongoing Ghana Premier League (GPL) ‘unacceptable’ as well as some decisions the club has been taken and think one of the ways to alert them about their disappointment is by staying on the streets to pour out their frustrations.

The Management of the club have come under serious criticism after the club’s poor start to life in the GPL with the club’s head coach being asked to ‘step aside’ with his assistant Michael Osei taking over as head coach.

Followers of the club on several media platforms have confirmed they are not happy with the Board and have since secured police permit to demonstrate against management which is led by the club’s former player ‘Lord’ Opoku Nti.

Branch supporters group of the club who are scheduled to demonstrate, will take to the streets of the Oseikrom capital on Friday starting from Kejetia through to Adum, Asafo, Prempeh Assembly Hall, Asawase and converge at Manhyia.

Confirming this in an interview, Chairman of the Ashanti Regional Circles branch said that “we will be joined by circles from other parts of the country for the event.

We have secured police permit and by the grace of God, come Friday we will take off at exactly 9:00 am.”
