KMA Chases Organizer of Obinim Spiritual Contest For Cash

Organizer of the much anticipated spiritual contest between controversial Bishop Daniel Obinim and Okomfo Appiah is under fire for not paying the needed fee for the venue of the event.

One Kwadwo Bawuah Abesiriwa of Kumasi-based Boss FM according to the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) failed to pay the necessary fee for permit to use the Jubilee Park for the contest on Tuesday April 12, 16. The contest according to reports, attracted more than 2000 inhabitants of the Kumasi metropolis to the venue, majority of whom were members of Bishop Obinim’s congregation.

It however became a fiasco when the traditional priest, Okomfo Yaw Appiah who claimed to given occultic powers to the self-confessed Angle Obinim who is Founder and Leader of the International Godsway Church for his ministry.

The controversial man of God declared himself the winner of the contest after the traditional priest failed to turn up at the venue but later claimed he was put under house arrest.

But spokesperson for the KMA, Gordon Nyame in an interview on Adom News said, the organizer failed to follow right procedure. He explained that, the Jubilee Park is the property of the KMA thus everyone is required to be given a permit before using the facility.
This procedure, Gordon Nyame added, the Boss FM presenter failed to follow therefore must pay a fine or meet them in court.

In a rebuttal, Kwadwo Bawuah Abesiriwa who denied any wrong doing, expressed shock at the conduct of the KMA. He said the Jubilee Park is a public facility thus every citizen is entitled to use it as and when it is needed.

Kwadwo Bawuah Abesiriwa said he is ready to meet the KMA in court if the need arises.
