Nyantakyi condemns barbaric acts of Hearts supporters in WA All Stars game

Ghana FA President Kwesi Nyantakyi has condemned the barbaric acts of Hearts of Oak’s fans in their Premier League fixture with WA All Stars.

Hearts fans were displeased in the game they lost 3-1 at the Accra Sports Stadium after claiming bias officiating by center referee Eric Baffi and his assistants.

The home fans had questioned the referee’s decision to allow WA All Stars first goal to stand insisting striker Kweku Asuandzi was in an offside position.

This saw supporters of Hearts of Oak throwing bottles of water to the field as a sign to show their discontentment with the decision of the referee.

Nyantakyi has however slammed the actions by the Hearts supporters.

“This is not allowed anywhere in the World, even if the referee was wrong there was no way the supporters should have attacked them,” he told Happy FM.

“We must condemn such acts by the supporters. We are looking into the situation and we will take the necessary action.

“I think these things must be stopped in our game so we must condemn it.”

Hearts could face a sanction by the disciplinary committee of the Ghana Football Association.
