I Wont Retract Prez Mahamas Endorsement Acting Chief of Kwahu

Nana Asiedu Agyeman lll, Acting Paramount Chief of Kwahu Traditional Area, says he won’t retract his endorsement of Mahama for a second term bid as demanded by the Concerned Okwahu Development Youth Association (CODYA).

He claimed he puts premium on the development of the Kwahu area, saying his bid to endorse President Mahama for another term was a good step to attracting more infrastructure boost to the enclave.

A group calling itself the Concerned Okwahu Development Youth Association (CODYA) is calling on the Acting Paramount Chief of Kwahu Traditional Area, Nana Asiedu Agyeman lll to publicly retract his endorsement of President John Mahama for another term of office.

The Chief last week endorsed the President during his visit to the area as part of his “Accounting to the people tour” claiming the President has brought a lot of development to the Kwahu area.

But the Acting Chief on Kasapa FM Monday said, he’s done no wrong rooting for Mahama for a second term bid, if that promises to boost development in his area.

“Those who are criticizing me indeed have some political agenda but I won’t be perturbed with such attacks because everybody knows the development gains we’ve had under this government. As a matter of fact development projects are normally truncated when there is a  new government in place, however in order not to cut the pace of the projects  being secured for the people of Kwahu, I prefer the President stays in power for another term to continue such works for us in Kwahu.

“The government has unbeatable records in terms of the development of Kwahu.  If, the President is willing to continue his good works for Okwahuman, why won’t I support him so he could accomplish the development plans he has for us.

“Abetifi hospital which is to be completed by the end of the year, Kotoso water project- which is part of the Kwahu, Konongo, Kumawu water projects through a loan contracted by government, The three Community SHS facilities, Atibie-Nkawkaw road under construction among others are all part of the development strides of the current government, which I personally will support the President for.”
