Yahaya Mohammed not bothered by local Black Stars snub

Aduana stars forward Yahaya Mohammed is not disappointed in his exclusion from the local Black Stars team.

The striker was not included in Maxwell Konadu’s 25 man squad invited to prepare for an upcoming friendly against Japan on May 11.

Yahaya has regained his form following an impressive performance against Sekondi Hasaacas where he scored three goals to help his side secure vital points at home.

The former Asante Kotoko forward after his outstanding display says he is not bothered by his exclusion from the squad.

“I am not bothered, there are more matches to go and I know Maxwell will be watching,” he told Happy FM.

“I have played in the local Black Stars before so I am not worried if I was not invited this time around.

“I have to keep on working hard so I can get myself a call-up back into the team.”

The 27-year-old was a member of Ghana’s local Black Stars team that finished second at the 2014 CHAN tournament in South Africa.
