Police Investigate Soldiers Over Torture Of 16 Yr Old Boy

The Northern Regional Police Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has launched investigations into the case involving the brutal assault of 16 year old boy, Christopher Bama by two Airborne force military men at Tamale.

The Commanding Officer  of AirBorne Force, Lt col Joseph Malik Punamane handed three of the soldiers suspected to have carried out this horrendous act to the Police, saying the system does not condone the behaviour of the officers, hence they will  be dealt with accordingly.

Christopher Bama was tortured by two Airborne force military men , Corporal Sampson Atuahene and Collins Agyei Boamah in Tamale, for stealing TECHNO mobile phone.

Christopher whose condition has worsened since the incidence is currently on admission at the hospital.

With guns pointed at his head, he still tried to prove his innocence by denying any knowledge of the said mobile phone, but his accusers, the two soldiers, would not want to hear any denial of a sort than an outright admission.

For failing to admit the wrong he was accused of, Christopher Bama was said to have been handcuffed and hanged on top of a mango tree by the two soldiers, Corporal Sampson Atuahene (owner of the mobile phone) and Collins Agyei Boamah (accomplice), and beaten till he went unconscious and yet the soldiers would not show him any mercy.

Christopher is said to be a long standing errand boy for Corporal Sampson Atuahene.
