Sam George: Ningo 'Mankralo' Is Not 'A Mantse'...He Is 'Lawless'

Sam George Nartey, the NDC's Parliamentary Candidate for the Ningo Prampram Constituency will soon be hauled before the Chiefs and Elders of the Ningo Traditional Area for disrespecting and questioning the authority of the Acting President and Mankralo of the Ningo Traditional Area,  Nene Kanor Atiapah III after  describing the Chief as a lawless leader and one whose views does not represent those of the people of Ningo.

In a recently conducted interview with the Chronicle newspaper,  Nene Atiapah III expressed dissatisfaction over the installation of prepaid meters by personnel of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), which he described as money sucking equipments which would worsen the hardships facing  the people in his Traditional Area.

The Ningo Mankralo said: “The people in my traditional area are poor farmers and fishermen. They can hardly make ends meet and so if we allow ECG to come and install their  prepaid meters, how would my people get money to buy credit to reload them, because of this I boldly sacked two ECG personnel who were in his house to install a pre-paid meter."

But speaking on Asempa FM's's '3kosii sen' political show, Sam George, who also doubles as a Presidential Staffer, was obviously not amused by Nene Atiapah III's comments and charged on him.

He said "he Nene Attiapah III is my biological uncle and he is only a Mankralo not a Mantse. Nene Attiapah is supposed to be an agent of development but he is rather acting lawlessly and encouraging the people of Ningo to be lawless, is that how a chief should behave?" Sam George rhetorically asked.

The NDC candidate continued, "Sam George: I disagree with him and in fact what he said does not  represent the views of the people of Ningo, he does not speak for them. What he said are his personal views."

These scathing attacks  on Nene Atiapah II seems to have ruffled the feathers of the chief and elders of Ningo Tradition area. It has therefore attracted their fury and sources close to the Traditional council revealed that the council is contemplating summoning Sam George before the Chief and elders of Ningo Traditional area for his  unsavory comments on Nene Atiapah III.

They traditional council may also decide to boycott any programme or event been undertaking by NDC's Sam George Nartey.
