Tension At Ashaiman Over Murder

Tension is mounting at Ashaiman following the gruesome murder of a 42-year-old foot-soldier of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) by a gang at Tsinagbe, a suburb of Ashaiman in the Greater Accra Region.

Investigations conducted by DAILY GUIDE indicated that a group of men, who were wielding lethal weapons, combed the area for the suspects to avenge the death of their friend Abdulai Abubakar Biau, alias Death Roll.

The deceased was said to have been attacked with weapons such as iron rods and clubs.

According to reports, he was struck in the neck with a golf stick.

Abdulai Abubakar Biau was subsequently rushed to the Tema General Hospital for treatment but was pronounced dead later.

He has since been buried according to Islamic traditions and the police have launched investigations into the matter.

But some close friends of the deceased appear to be dissatisfied with the legal processes and have expressed readiness to take the laws into their own hands.

The paper gathered that the suspects, numbering about eight, have fled the area following incursions by the angry friends of the deceased from Old Tulaku, Ashaiman, who have been searching for them.

Information gathered by DAILY GUIDE indicated that at about 11pm on April 16, 2016, the murderers used iron rods, cutlasses and clubs and stormed Tsinagbe around NK Hotel to attack a certain Albert, who is now a witness in the case, for snatching a girlfriend of their friend.

A suspect in the case, who was identified as Yakozuma alias Dealer, demanded that the deceased come closer to them for the matter to be settled.

To the surprise of onlookers, immediately Abdulai Abubakar Biau stepped forward, Albert collected a club from a member of the group and used it to hit the neck of Abdulai, who fell down unconsciously.

Other members of the group were also said to have quickly pounced on him and assaulted him with the lethal weapons they were wielding until he became unconscious.
