President John Dramani Mahama would Tuesday storm the Brong Ahafo region to begin his three days “Accounting to the People Tour”.
But he is expected to be greeted by demonstrators who are largely victims of DKM and some other Micro-Finance institutions that have been closed down by the Bank of Ghana (BoG).
They want President Mahama to also give them a fair account about the state of DKM, Perfect Edge, Jarrison, JASTA Motors, Care for Humanity and Sharp Sharp.
That aside, they want Mr. Mahama to also account to them the consideration of their bailout proposal to his office.
They also would want to know why he has chosen to liquidate DKM when he promised to ensure that their monies are paid to them after the auditors have finished conducting their audit report in May 2015.
“What has really happened to that promise he made before the Nananom, the elders and the youth of Ntotoroso and people of Brong Ahafo Region in general?”
“We strongly do not believe that liquidation of DKM can salvage the man made tribulations and artificial disasters customers of DKM and others are facing”.
We also know for a fact that this whole issue about liquidation of DKM is mere politics, propaganda and deceit to calm the worrisome situations facing customers of DKM and others just because His Excellency President Mahama is coming to Brong Ahafo Region”, Spokesperson for victims of DKM noted in a statement released Monday.
