Kwesi Pratt has challenged opposition parties who doubt President John Dramani Mahama and his administration's job creation initiatives to provide evidence.

According to the Managing Editor of the Insight newspaper, the skeptics’ claims are baseless if they cannot prove to Ghanaians that President John Mahama has indeed not created the number of jobs his government claims to have done.

Some government officials have been giving figures to support their claims that the President is on the right track and solving the unemployment situation in Ghana.

On Monday, government through the Communications Ministry, released data of some job figures created, stirring controversy over their reliability and verifiability.

Though the opposition argues the figures put out are phantom jobs, government insists the figures are incontestable.

Speaking on Peace FM's Kokrokoo, Mr. Pratt told host Kwami Sefa Kayi that the figures provided the government could be "untrue", but added that "there has to be a process of auditing these claims."

However, to him, the skeptics should not only make claims that are not solid.

"What is my measurement? What measurement do I have as I sit in this studio? What I can say in this studio is that some jobs are being created and we are all aware of them. Any vigilant person or if you don’t have eyes but ears to hear things, you know there are jobs being created…How many jobs have been created? How do I say that we’ve created 20000 jobs or 5000 jobs? How can I say that? What is the basis?” he sought to know.
