Baah Acheamfuor Does Not Speak For NPP John Boadu

The acting General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has stated unequivocally that Mr. Baah Acheamfuor, a party member parading himself as a party communicator does not speak for the party.

John Boadu indicated that, any radio station which engages his service must not introduce him as an NPP communicator because he [Baah Acheamfuor] has not been authorized by the party.

John Boadu comment comes after the young man was attacked at a Kumasi-based radio station for bringing the NPP into disrepute.

According to media reports, some macho men numbering about six, violently broke into the studios of the radio station during a live programme and attacked the presenter and the NPP man who was a panellist on the programme.

The attackers, who were apparently angered by comments made by Mr. Acheamfour, stormed the station on motorbikes, overpowered security men at the station and violently stormed the studios.

Baah Acheamfour said to be an ardent critic of NPP’s flagbearer, Nana Akufo-Addo was allegedly subjected to severe beatings from the mobsters. But John Boadu on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Tuesday said the radio station has itself to blame.

“How can you invite such a person who for the past three years has never said anything good about party to speak for NPP” he quizzed.

Though condemning the crude attack, the NPP acting General Secretary maintained that, the producer at Fox FM must do due diligence. You can’t just walk into a programme to present a political party when you have not been mandated to speak on our behave.

Baah Acheamfuor does not speak for NPP” he stressed. John Boadu urged media houses to contact the party for resource persons authorized to speak since going in for just anybody will be at their own risk.
